KUL LON countdown

Been procrastinating in doing the bookings in view of the London Burning.
So now my mother and I couldn't go to Paris as intended since it would have caused us 200 quid for a short trip of a few hours since the cheapest fare is at 4pm & 8pm (for the return leg). Yeah Eiffel tower would look magnifique at nite but at a cost of almost RM1k. No thank you very much. I'd rather go to Paris directly from KL and spend a reasonable time and money than splurging for a such short trip.

The Colchester train ticket is a no-go. There is no pick-up service and they would need to ship the ticket to KL. The downside is that the shipping cost costs more than the freaking tickets!!
No way Jose. I'd rather spend a little bit more buying the ticket on the spot than incurring excessive shipping charges. Oh why can't they provide pick up service or print-voucher service not unlike other touristy services providers?

My time is now spent making sure I'm covering all bases in terms of obligations, work & otherwise, so that I could breathe easily while holidaying. I do not want to be hassled with work matters when I was supposed to be enjoying a week stay in London after an absence of 16 years. On the personal front, there are loads of things to be done. Bills to pay, loan commitments, road tax & insurance etc. Feels like when I was going for my 44-day Hajj in 2006.

I think my mom is quite excited to go since she hasn't set foot in any English-speaking country ever. She expressed her wish to see my old uni a few years back. She and my late dad could not afford to go during my convo way back in 1993 so I guess this is like something that she had dreamed on for a long time.
I just hope that the trip to Colchester would be worth it
